It is impossible to list all the ways Bashas' and its members work with the communities
in which we have stores. Support of education, the arts, assistance to the hungry
and others in need ... the list goes on and on.
One thing definitively can be said, however: Without personal involvement in myriad
organizations to which Bashas' members give time, energy and expertise, and to which
Bashas' frequently contributes funding, our community involvement would be nothing
more than a line item in a budget.
Instead, it is a direct line to understanding the heart of what makes Bashas' strong
and vital today, our members, and their commitment to carrying on the principles
set down by our founders. We are a product of our history,
and it is this which will enable us to continue our pattern of success.
Bashas' has doubled in size in the last decade with stores under the Bashas' name,
as well as AJ's Fine Foods, and Food City, bringing the total to more than 130 stores.
The different formats enable the company to serve different "demographic neighborhoods"
with the appropriate mixture of products and services to meet the needs of the customers.
