Times have changed, but old-fashioned family values haven’t—especially at Bashas’. This year Bashas’ celebrates its 75th birthday as Arizona’s hometown grocer.
“For more than 75 years we have stayed true to who we are – a community grocer,” said Vice Chairman Johnny Basha, about the company his father Ike co-founded 75 years ago.

They came, they shopped, they conquered! On Friday, June 1, Bashas’ celebrated its 75th Anniversary with customers by hosting a chain-wide shopping spree at all 82 stores. Customers had 75 seconds to race around their store and grab food items while store members cheered them on.
The 75th Anniversary Shopping Spree winners were chosen from a contest that ran May 9-22. Any customer who used their Bashas’ Thank You Card and made a purchase of $75 or more during a single visit was automatically entered to win. The shopping spree turned out to be the perfect way to thank customers for their loyalty, and helped Bashas’ celebrate its 75th Anniversary in a big way!
