Honeydew Basil Margarita with Tajin

Ingredients

Tajin
1 lime wedge
½ cup diced ripe honeydew melon
8 large fresh basil leaves
¾ oz fresh lime juice
¼ oz light agave nectar
2oz Tequila

  1. Prepare your glass!  Pour an even layer of Tajin on a plate. Rub the rim of an 8-ounce rocks glass or tumbler with a lime wedge and invert glass into Tajin to coat rim.  Martha Stewart can teach you fancy way to rim your glass – How to Make Pomegranate Martha-ritas (she rims the glass in the first 30 seconds of the video).
  2. To make honeydew juice – place cubes of honeydew melon into a blender.  Warning: Be sure not to overfill the blender.  Blend the melon until there are no chunks left and you’re only left with juice.
  3. Combine melon, basil, lime juice, agave nectar, and tequila in a 2-cup cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker halfway with ice, cover and shake.
  4. Fill your prepared glass with ice and pour your margarita!  Garnish your class with some melon cubes and a basil sprig.
