Peppermint Mocha to get in the Holiday Mood

It’s that time of year when peppermint is the flavor of the month! Coffee shops around town are promoting their peppermint mocha java hot cocoa latte. The thing about coffee shops is the calories and cost can add up quickly. When you’re in the mood for some peppermint, try making an Iced Peppermint Mocha at home! This way you can control the ingredients, flavor, calories, and size of beverage. Silk has partnered with Folgers Coffee to create a dazzling peppermint drink to delight your tastebuds.

Ingredients:

  • Silk Dark Chocolate Peppermint Almond Creamer
  • Brewed Folgers’ Black Silk Coffee
  • Ice Cubes
  • Crushed candy cane
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate (vegan chocolate is preferred)

Directions:

Step 1: Melt dark chocolate. You can melt chocolate in a makeshift double boiler or in the microwave. Check out this blog article for an in-depth description of the melting process.

Step 2: Rim your high ball glass in the melted chocolate and then roll in the crushed candy cane.

Step 3: Fill glass with ice cubes.

Step 4: Pour Folgers’ Black Silk Coffee into the high ball glass. Leave the top 1/4 of the glass unfilled.

Step 5: Top off the beverage with Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Creamer.

Add a full-size candy cane to the glass as a stir stick and enjoy! You can find your favorite Silk and Folgers products at your local Bashas’ this holiday season.
