October begins with supporting the fight against breast cancer. Bashas’ has partnered with three different research and treatment facilities across the state of Arizona. In Metro Phoenix, Bashas’ is supporting Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. This state of the art facility combines the latest research, advanced technologies and an integrated approach to customize breast cancer treatment for every patient. The Northern Arizona stores will focus on the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare who are helping to provide specialized breast cancer care services to members in the Northern Arizona community. The Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare bring hope and healing to breast cancer patients through their multidisciplinary medical teams, advanced technologies and compassionate care. The Southern Arizona stores will focus on The University of Arizona’s Cancer Center which is leading the way in research to prevent and find cures for breast cancer. The U of A Cancer Center is bringing promising new therapies from the laboratory to more than 200 clinical trials and investigating a broad spectrum of new diagnostic, prevention and treatment strategies.
A donation of any size will help fund vital cancer research. In the Phoenix Metro locations, you can also purchase a case of pink-labeled bottle water, and Bashas’ will donate $0.10 for every case of water sold through the end of the year (up to $12,500).
